Package Testing

Child-Resistant Package Testing

In December 1970, the U.S. Congress passed the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. This act states that hazardous substances must be specially packaged so that children cannot easily gain access to the contents. Since the passing of the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, Great Lakes Marketing has been actively engaged in testing safety packaging. Great Lakes Marketing has been testing safety packages for over 35 years. We test packages with hundreds of children and senior adults each week. We have contracts with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and have been audited by the Canadian Standards Association.
